Volunteer
Looking for a great way to have fun and meet people while having a positive impact on the community?
Ambassadors
As an all-volunteer organization, we rely solely on the generosity of others for their time and resources. We call our volunteer “ambassadors” because they help spread the word about the organization and the event, and, more importantly, SCA wouldn’t exist as it does today without them.
Ambassadors can help with the SnowBall in two ways:
1) as a planning volunteer, which means attending regular(ish) meetings prior to the event and participating on a committee
2) as a night-of volunteer, which means volunteering for at least one 1-hour shift at the SnowBall. All night-of volunteers (including those that also help plan the event), receive a large discount on their SnowBall ticket. Night-of volunteers are required to attend one of two walk-through meetings (see “Meetings” below).
To learn more about being an ambassador, email ambassador@scaboston.org.
In addition to the ambassadors, there is an all-volunteer Leadership Team that leads the planning of the SnowBall.
Meetings
Anyone is welcome to attend any of our ambassador meetings to learn more. No commitment or experience is necessary, but we’re sure you’ll be coming back again! Meetings will begin in September 2012, so check back for updates.
